Why is climate change paramount; well there are many reasons: Natural ecosystems (No Balance), Agriculture and food supplies (Starvation), Human health (Illnesses), Forestry (Or lack there of), Water resources and availability, Energy use (Non Renewable Resources) Transportation. As one can see climate change is of supreme importance, actions or lack there of today will affect the future and how we see the world.
In the past the United Nations came up with a plan, The Kyoto Protocol, it called for signatories and sponsors to reduce the emissions of green house gasses by about 5.5 percent annually. Climate change refers to the climate of the earth changing rather than global warming which can be decifered as the earth as a WHOLE gaining heat, so do not confuse the two. Another reason for the sudden change in temperature is rapid and continueous accumulation of GHG(greenhouse gasses), also known as the Green House Effect. Some green house gasses are: Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), and several Fluorinated Gases.
